Leadership Legacy
A story of stewardship, growth, and vision for the future.
What the Leadership Inherited
Upon taking office as the Association's first fully elected leadership on May 10, 2025, the current administration inherited a notarized certificate of the Constitution, both soft and hard copies of the governing document, and financial and payment records relating to the August 2024 Jamboree and the Second Homecoming held on May 10, 2025. The previous leadership under Mr. Daniel Y. Mulbah had grown alumni membership awareness from roughly 25 members to about 300 persons and had successfully hosted the Association's First Homecoming back in 2019 — a foundation the current leadership continues to build upon.
Major Changes Introduced
The leadership began the process of creating an Article of Cooperation to have the Alumni Association formally registered and recognized as a legal association, giving the WBAA a stronger legal and administrative foundation than it has had before.
Major Projects Completed
The leadership successfully hosted its First Homecoming on May 30, 2026, at the Modern Hotel, and its First Sports Jamboree on May 24, 2026, at Evidence Park — both marking the first major events organized under the newly elected administration.
Programs Established
Official communication channels were established for the first time, including dedicated SIM lines with Lonestar Cell MTN and Orange Liberia, to improve coordination between the leadership and the broader alumni membership.
Challenges Overcome
As the Association's first elected leadership team, the administration worked to build formal financial and legal structures largely from scratch — including securing the Association's first bank accounts and pursuing legal registration — while also organizing its first two major events within its first year in office.
Major Achievements
Key milestones include opening the Association's first USD and LRD bank accounts with Access Bank, receiving the WBAA's first-ever alumni contribution of US$650 from the Salvation Army Education Secretariat in honor of the 2024/2025 Torchbearers of Success graduating class, and making a direct financial contribution back to the William Booth School System.
Partnerships Established
The Association strengthened its relationship with the Salvation Army Education Secretariat, which recognized the WBAA's alumni contribution program in connection with the school's graduating class.
Important Improvements
The leadership opened the Association's first formal bank accounts and published a financial report following the 2026 Homecoming, demonstrating a clear commitment to financial transparency and accountability to the general membership.
What the Leadership Hopes to Leave Behind
The current leadership is committed to preserving the records and institutional history of the Association, strengthening membership and alumni participation, promoting unity among former students, maintaining financial transparency, supporting the educational development of current and former students, continuing to support the Alma Mater, strengthening the Association's legal and organizational structure, and creating sustainable programs for future generations of William Booth alumni.
Official Message from Leadership
We did not begin the work of the Alumni Association — we inherited a foundation from those who came before us. We remain committed to preserving their achievements while building upon them, for the benefit of every generation of William Booth alumni.
